The Hydrofoil Telemetry Regatta Manager revolutionizes the management and analysis of race results, offering a comprehensive suite of features tailored to organizers, participants, and enthusiasts. With a strong focus on boat class filters and points systems, this app provides unparalleled flexibility and precision in race result management and analysis.
Boat Class Filters:
Boat class filtering feature allows users to customize their analysis by focusing on specific boat classes of interest. Whether organizers need to track performance across different boat categories or participants want to compare their standings within their respective classes, the boat class filters offer unparalleled flexibility and granularity. Users can easily select their desired boat class from the dropdown menu, enabling them to tailor their analysis to meet their specific needs and preferences. Upon upload results files are initially grouped together in a mixed class cumulative standings display labeled "All", but can be filtered down to each individual boat class,... "jx40", "jx50" and "f50" respectively.
Points Systems:
The app offers three distinct points systems—High Points System, Low Points System, and Yardstick System—each designed to accommodate different scoring methodologies and regatta dynamics. Users can choose the points system that best aligns with their regatta's rules and objectives, ensuring accurate and fair calculation of cumulative points standings. The High Points System rewards participants based on their finishing positions, with higher scores awarded to top performers. Conversely, the Low Points System assigns points inversely proportional to finishing positions, rewarding consistency and minimizing the impact of outliers. The Yardstick System adjusts points based on boat performance relative to a standardized benchmark, offering a level playing field for participants across different boat classes,...
High Points System:
In the High Points System, racers are awarded points based on their finishing position in each race. The racer finishing in 1st place receives 10 points, while subsequent positions receive 1 point less, with the racer finishing in 2nd place receiving 9 points, 3rd place receiving 8 points, and so on. Racers who do not finish (DNF) are awarded 0 points.
Low Points System:
The Low Points System awards points inversely based on finishing position in each race. Racers receive points corresponding to their finishing position, with the racer finishing in 1st place receiving 1 point, 2nd place receiving 2 points, 3rd place receiving 3 points, and so on. This system rewards racers with lower finishing positions, with the aim of achieving the lowest cumulative score across races.
Yardstick System:
The Yardstick System introduces a unique scoring method that levels the playing field by considering finishing position and the number of boats participating in the race. Points are calculated by subtracting the racer's finishing position from the total number of boats, resulting in the points earned. For example, if there are 10 boats in the race and a racer finishes in 5th place, they would earn 5 points (10 boats - 5th place). This system ensures fair competition across races with varying fleet sizes as well as boat classes and rewards racers for their performance relative to the competition.
Advanced Analysis and Insights:
Combining boat class filters with customizable points systems unlocks a wealth of advanced analysis and insights. Organizers can gain a comprehensive understanding of regatta dynamics by analyzing performance trends across different boat classes, while participants can track their progress and compare standings within their respective categories. The app's intuitive interface and powerful analytics tools empower users to make data-driven decisions and optimize their performance strategy for future regattas.
Seamless Integration and User Experience:
The app's seamless integration and user-friendly interface ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience. Whether accessing the platform from a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile device, users can easily navigate through the app's features and access the information they need with ease. Real-time updates and synchronization capabilities ensure that users always have access to the most current and accurate race results and standings, enhancing transparency and reliability.

The example above showcases a Pro Level performance result, with a flight time percentage falling between 96% and 100%. In the visualization, the flight time percentage is depicted in green on the right, while the race time appears in red on the left. Both values are scaled proportionally, facilitating easy correlation assessment.
The primary takeaway is that maintaining a higher flight time percentage than race time, regardless of the race duration, indicates strong performance. This suggests that the player can compete at a high level, even without direct online competition.
Although flight time and race time may initially seem unrelated, they're intricately connected. Maximizing flight time typically translates to faster race times, a critical factor in foiling yacht racing. By visually comparing these metrics, players can gain valuable insights into their techniques and setups.
Moreover, analyzing results across various races with different boat classes, boat configurations, control methods, and environmental conditions enables players to identify performance trends and benchmarks. This analytical approach fosters skill improvement and enhances competitiveness in virtual sailing.
The 22km and 33km both have a very large square penalty boundary surrounding the entire race course, but the courses are much larger in overall size as compared to the original small courses that come with the game. The 22km takes approximately 20 minutes and the 33km approximately 30 minutes to finish.
The 44km is a long distance endurance race course with no boundaries at all allowing players to sail completely around the main island of Bermuda. This race course takes approximately 45 minutes to finish.
Players can download all the files necessary below with the option of auto installer EXE files to auto install the files in their copy of the game or a ZIP file containing all the files to manually install into the correct folders themselves. All three of the race courses can be used in both practice mode and multiplayer mode. When starting a server or practice mode make sure to select the correct location "bermudaoffshore" instead of the standard "bermuda" location that comes with the game.
